In Loving Memory Amazona Missoni Our  Spotted Wonder who loved to sing (some neighbors might call it howling but we call it singing) Sonny taught all our fawns & brindles to sing! He led choir practice every morning around 7 am, mid-day practices around 10am and evening practice at dusk.   Sonny believed in dancing like no one is watching. One day very delightful fall day at an Alamo GDC fun match my husband Don organized came along this gorgeous 5 month old puppy dog with spots.  He & his breeder Helen Goldberg walked in and away my breath went.  She said his name is "Sonny".  I couldn't take my hands off him as I oohed and ahhed over him.  He went on to win BOS under breeder-judge Chantel Johnson.  Fast forward another 3 months and I was judging a Sweepstakes which he won.  I admired him for all his structural correctness that would be fantastic in any color dane. I silently thought to myself, wow if I could have a harl, I'd want one just like that.  Never did we imagine that someday he'd be ours.  But 2 years later when we were asked if we'd like to have him at Dagmar...we said yes.  He's been a delight every step of the way.    Sonny was forced into early retirement due to an aggressive nasal cancer. Thank you to all who have admired this gorgeous boy in & out of the ring. He was simlply divine and we are so happy to have had him share our lives.
